More than just a music camp
|
Mountains & Strings Chamber Music Retreat at Harriman State Park of Idaho brings together string students from across the country for an immersive week of music, forming lasting friendships, and soaking in the beauty of nature to its fullest! Students will form small ensembles and receive coaching from professional musicians, and showcase their progress in a performance at the end of the week. In addition to chamber music, they participate in a string orchestra led by Alice Coulam, as well as fiddling groups or cello choir, and have opportunities to participate in a master class & private lessons. They will even have the experience of listening to the master violinist and Mountains & Strings faculty member, Eric Grossman, in concert! The retreat also offers outdoor activities such as hiking, team-building exercises, and other outdoor adventures, all set in the serene surroundings of Yellowstone and the Teton Mountains. |
Mountains & Strings Chamber Music Retreat 2026 will mark 25 years of an incredible summer music camp tradition. We hope to have many new and past Mountains & Strings participants join us for this momentous anniversary. (More on that to come...) See you soon!
